CARE FOR CATS

Before DUZZI, there was Daisy.

Daisy was the first cat we rescued, and Duzzi was her nickname. We never imagined that years later, her name would become the name of our brand.

Helping cats became part of our lives

For more than ten years, helping cats was simply part of our lives. Whenever we came across an abandoned kitten, an injured stray, or someone looking for help with a cat they had found, we did what we could.

During some of those years, we also volunteered with a rescue organization in northern Israel, helping with rescue, rehabilitation, fostering, and finding loving homes.

Over the years, we helped nearly one hundred adult cats and kittens. Some had been hit by cars, some were sick or injured, and some were living with FIV.

Some recovered and moved on. Others stayed.

Some stayed with us until they recovered or found a family, while others became part of our own.

Today, twelve cats and two dogs share our home. Every one of them came from the streets.

When our first son was born, life changed. We had far less time than before, and continuing this work with the same intensity was no longer possible. But simply walking away did not feel right either.

Why cats became the heroes of DUZZI

Street cats are among the most overlooked animals around us. In Israel, and in many other countries, thousands are born on the streets every year with no one responsible for their care.

They search for food, face injury and illness, and are often seen as a nuisance rather than animals in need of help.

We have never seen them that way. To us, they are brave, curious, funny, and full of personality. They have always been little heroes.

Real cats, real stories

That is why cats are part of the world of DUZZI. Many of our characters were inspired by real cats who became part of our family’s story.

Some still greet us every morning, others found loving families of their own, and all of them left something with us.

When we created DUZZI, we wanted it to be more than a toy brand. We wanted it to become another way for us to keep helping.

Continuing through DUZZI

Today, we donate a portion of DUZZI’s profits to Hadera Cat Sanctuary, a nonprofit sanctuary operated by the Hatuliya Association in Hadera, Israel.

Their team cares for injured cats and cats with disabilities, provides treatment and rehabilitation, and helps find loving homes for those who are ready for adoption.

When you choose DUZZI, you are not only supporting a small family business. You are also helping us support the people who dedicate their time and energy to giving cats another chance.
